Proofreading
Just want the final coat of polish put on things? A proofreading pass involves cleaning up all the small stuff after bigger edits have been made. I believe strongly in having fresh eyes on a manuscript for this process, so if I have done copy/line edits for this project, I recommend a different proofreader.
Rate: 0.01 per word, depending on the state of the manuscript.
Line editing/Copy editing
While these are technically separate services, I find it difficult to just do one without the other when they’re so intrinsically linked. Cleaning up errors, polishing prose, and streamlining style are all included here.

Developmental Editing
Worried about wonky pacing, hard-to-notice plot holes, and/or how you’ll actually make That One Magic Thing work? I can help with that! When possible, I think developmental edits are an enormous boon to the consistency and cohesion of a project, and I really enjoy helping writers realize their vision for their world and story.
